Religious Phenomena
The Blessed Virgin Mary has visited British shores on at least 3 occasions - in the 11th century in Norfolk, in 1880 at Llanthony Monastery and in 1933 in Middleton near Sudbury, Suffolk.
Bleeding religious icons include a weeping Madonna in 1955 in Newcastle upon Tyne, a weeping crucifix in Walthamstow, London in 1966 and, (slightly more bizaare), a weeping hard-boiled egg with a picture of Christ painted onto it in 1984.
